I’ve always believed the best personal style is just that, personal. It should tell the story you want to tell, and make you feel like the main character of your own story.

Meet Rachel.

Hey there! It’s lovely to meet you. My name is Rachel Meyers, and I’m a professional wardrobe stylist who has been working in the film industry in Los Angeles for the past decade. My specialty is in 20th century fashion, and I have a true passion for the Art Deco period.

Over the years I’ve worked with just about every major studio and dozens of celebrities, but I found I’ve enjoyed working with every day people, most of all. There is something profoundly special about working with clients who are looking for an experience that helps them discover more about themselves, and makes an impact on their life in ways even I could not imagine.

I was introduced to the style system world in 2015 after going down the rabbit hole of body typing systems and essences, in an effort to better understand my own style. This quickly grew into a passion of discovery and play with just about every system I could get my hands on. There’s nothing more I love than deep diving into someone else’s thoughts and theories on style, and how to translate that into a framework that is helpful to a client.

During my discoveries, one thing however continued to surprise me. I had difficulty finding a system that not only took the creator’s viewpoint into account, but also the client’s. As a professional stylist working with clients everyday, where their viewpoint will always be the most important one, I found the lack of this surprising, and it created a fun angle more me to explore. Style systems can be incredible tools to help you understand various viewpoints on style, but I wanted to take that tool and expand it to something that created a style a client would truly love, feel empowered by, and excited by, every single day, and only further their creative outlet of style.

Similarly, I eagerly went down the rabbit hole of color analysis. I became utterly entranced by the idea of personal color, and I wanted to learn everything possible on the subject. I took an intensive course with one of the founders of modern American color analysis, but quickly realized after that class that I wanted to develop something a little more personalized than standard seasonal categories. There were too many people I found in the in between, and I didn’t love the idea that a client would ever walk away unsatisfied with the colors they were given. Wanting to get a deeper understanding of global personal color, I took an in depth course on Korean and Japanese color analysis, and was certified by the Korean Association of Image Beauty and the Japan Personal Color Association. I was lucky enough to have informational interviews with the truly incomparable David Zyla as well, who I will always regard as one of the best in the business. After this deep dive, I began to create my own personalized color system, where my goal is to create a customized color palette that balances the harmony of the wearer’s features with the client’s input of their own personal style goals.

I am truly lucky to call this my career, and I cannot wait to get to know your story, so we can create together! Let’s make your story just as fabulous as you are.
